Guess I was mistreated as a child, as my mom supported my book addiction. The consequences are clear: I´m a violent nutcase who works in daycare by day and kills everyone I see by night.
Easter ‘11
This submission reminds me of last year’s post about sharing. Is Heather attempting to be funny or does she just have it out for kids who like to read?
Last time I checked, reading didn’t lead to shooting rampages. Sure, there have been a handful of times that I’ve happened upon an article on FOX News that made me feel downright murderous, but I’ve always believed that informing oneself was a good thing. Reading isn’t a gateway drug. Just because a kid wants to read books instead of eat candy on Easter doesn’t mean he’s a biography away from exalting Mein Kampf. I’m not saying people who post about their kids wanting books for Easter aren’t bragging - maybe they are - but Heather is the one who strikes me as being a little unhinged here.
